Description: Belcan Tech Services is currently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer with NC machine shop experience for a GA client. We need someone who can lead new product introductions, complete process planning from start to finish, customer and operator interaction, establishing timelines, project flow, quality systems, etc. Must be able to lead and direct the activities of other engineers to achieve engineering department objectives. Requires high level project management, teamwork, customer correspondence, project milestones and strong verbal and written communication skills. Working in a manufacturing environment, knowledge of Aerospace specifications, and GD&T are a must.

Position description:
Candidate must have minimum 7 years experience with manufacturing processing of precision machined aerospace components.
Our product family consists mainly of fan blades. Materials are titanium, and steel alloys such as Inconel and Hastalloy. The manufacturing process involves hot forging, tight tolerance milling, grinding, coating processes, heat treat and NDT.

Must be familiar with 3,4, & 5 axis milling centers, NC grinding machines, chemical processing, CMM and other inspection equipment.

Additional Responsibilities include:
Must be well versed in UG-NX4 or above.

Create operations sheets, routing and 3D models.

Tool design ? Concepts for fixtures, gauges, and special cutters

Purchase Order review and fulfilling of all requirements

Disposition of nonconforming material

Rework procedures,

Working to a predetermined budget ? tracking costs

Customer change notices or requests.

Able to research, understand and implement new technologies for cost savings and process improvements.

Able to lead technical discussions and work in a collaborative team-based environment.

Able to perform concurrent engineering with our customers engineering and technical personnel.

Experience working with GE, Pratt Whitney or Rolls Royce is highly preferred.

Requirements: Education & Experience Required:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or equivalent (5-7 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment)
