Description: Belcan TechServices is currently recruiting for a Baltimore, MD client who has an immediate need for NC Programmers/Tool Support.

This requirement is for a CATIA proficient candidate. The client is currently running CATIA V5, and has legacy support requirements in V4 CATIA. This job requires candidate to review drawings, generate a process, concept and design support tooling, program tools, program parts, support first run, and address changes required to make the process production ready.
Experience and Knowledge of Process.

A. Preplanning:
1. Review and understand Drawings & Specifications
2. Produce ability reviews
3. CATIA Modeling
4. Fixture concept and design
5. Flat pattern development
B. Numerical Control Programming:
1. Define machining process
2. Design holding fixture
3. Program tools and parts complete
a) 3 axis sheet metal details
b) 5 axis hog out details
c) 5 axis composite rout and water jet.
d) 5 axis high speed drilling
4. Support through manufacturing
5. Refine per quality and shop feedback
6. Interact with all groups supported
C. Tooling:
1. Develop Tooling Concepts for New Tools
2. Tool Design
a) Composite lay up fixtures
b) Composite holding fixtures
c) Assembly fixtures
d) Trim tool
e) Hydro-form blocks
f) Drop Hammer dies
3. Tool Liaison
D. Vendor Support:
1. Review design concepts from vendors.
2. Check of design and process of vendor-supplied items for buyoff.
E. Technical Support to factory on building First Article:
1. Generate data from mylars and drawings to aid in first part inspection.
F. Productivity & Quality Improvements:
1. Research and incorporate change to existing programs and tooling.
2. Drive technical learning and document process.
G. Resolving Issues:
1. Gather all data of a defective detail.
2. Over lay models and review drawings of defective hardware.
3. Define cause and corrective action for defect.
H. Incorporating Customer Changes:
1. Review Engineering Change Orders.
2. Edit programs and tooling to latest engineering revisions.
I. Oracle support:
1. Research existing data for information driving part configuration.
2. Track tool orders and drive closure.
