Description: Job Functions:
? Perform logging of core and reverse circulation drill cuttings and peer review evaluation of Geologist 1 and 2 logging quality.
? Supervise and direct drilling, road construction and drill sample preparation contractors.
? Integrate and interpret all geological data (e.g., rock type, alteration, and structure), assay, and mineralogical data into geologic maps and internally consist cross sections and level plans.
? Provide coaching and mentoring to Geologist 1 and 2 to develop their skills.
? Supervise a team of Geologists in the completion of computerized resource block models that meet corporate modeling regulations.
? Prepare and update a drill hole database, maps of deposits and other exploration records.
? Work with Metallurgists in providing samples for processing testing and evaluation and in the development of ore types.
? Perform surface and underground geologic mapping.
Job qualifications:
1. BS in Geology or related scientific discipline and 5 years? experience in geology or related field, Or MS in Geology and 3 years? experience in geology or related field.
2. At least 3 years supervisory experience.
3. Experience in RC logging, planning and executing drilling programs, and interpreting geologic and ore boundaries in cross-section and plan using Mine Sight.
4. Experience using Mine Sight and AcQuire or other mining software.
