The advanced Engineering and Technology Division (AETD) of Belcan is a global provider of highly technical engineering services to a wide variety of industries.

We are looking for a Software Application Developer to work out of our Grand Rapids, MI office.

Essential Functions:

Maintain software development and maintenance of components, systems and their networks
Analyze user needs to design and code
Program (in C++, C#, Java etc) all applications, components and interfaces
Work closely with the business unit to ensure application development meets product specification requirements
Design, implement and test software, ensuring quality specifications are met
Participate actively in design and code reviews

Desired:

Experience in programming C++, preferably with additional experience in C#
Experience in Object Oriented Design / Programming
Experience programming in a Team Environment
Exposure to Microsoft .NET Framework, Visual Studio, VC++, VB, Networking, Linux, Source Code Control, and XML
Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Due to the nature of the work applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents (green card holder).
