Description: QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
?Bachelor?s degree in Industrial Engineering or Technology, or related technical field from a four-year college or university; or completion of a certified four-year Tool & Die apprenticeship; plus one to three years experience in tool purchasing or cost estimating; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
?Extensive knowledge of the design, cost and processing of tooling and fixtures for Metal Stamping, Metal Casting, Welding, Rubber Molding, Plastic Molding and Plastic Blow Molding.
?Ability to read and analyze part and tool drawings for automotive related parts.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
?Review concept sheets and create tooling budgets for future MMNA programs.
?Review and document supplier tooling quotations in order to establish correct process and negotiate acceptable pricing, per established tooling budgets and part requirements.
?Document, track and follow-up on MMNA owned tooling asset at supplier locations.
?Document, track and close out outstanding tooling purchase orders to facilitate final budget closure.
?Provide tooling and process knowledge to reduce cost, and to improve timing and quality for engineering changes, VA/VE studies, and other tooling related activities as required.
?Provide tooling and process knowledge for MMNA and suppliers in critical tooling failure or program delay situations to avoid a shortage of parts at MMNA.
