Requirements:
? BS in Engineering minimum, MS preferred
? Minimum 7 years experience in the gas turbine heat transfer and fluid
transfer analysis
Proficient Skills:
? 1D hand calculations of fluid flow systems, 1D hand calculations of
internal and external heat transfer coefficients, convection and
radiation modeling
? ANSYS modeling of heat transfer, gas turbine system modeling, internal
flow and heat transfer modeling of cooled engine components
Knowledge base:
? Aerospace/gas turbine thermodynamic cycle, key characteristics of
cooled airfoils, cooling mechanisms of gas turbine hot section, LCF,
TMF, and oxidation lifting systems
? Gas turbine materials and coating systems, engine cycle operating
parameters, awareness of CFD
