As a Summer Enrichment Teacher at BELL, you will enhance our scholars academic understanding and inspire their dreams of tomorrow by creating and leading a specific enrichment program, one that will relate to our curriculum and our summers overarching theme.

Impacting the future of education takes a great deal of passion, not to mention hard work. To give you a better idea of what its like as a Summer Enrichment Teacher at BELL, here are some of the day-to-day responsibilities you can expect to be part of:

- Developing and implementing appropriate enrichment classes for assigned grade levels.

- Preparing classrooms for daily activities and collaborating with Academic Teachers and Teachers Assistants to ensure that objectives are reached.

- Maintaining accurate classroom records.

- Ensuring enrichment goals are met for each scholar.

- Creating and directing project based learning.

- Mentoring and supporting the professional development of the Teachers Assistants.

- Supervising scholars during guest speaker engagements, field trips, lunch and recess.

What we require from our Summer Enrichment Teacher is a Bachelors degree, a passion for making a difference in an urban elementary or middle school, 2+ years of experience developing and/or facilitating curriculum in a specific enrichment topic for elementary or middle school aged children (topics include, but are not limited to: visual/graphic arts, dance, music, physical education, science, character development, robotics, technology), the ability to manage a classroom of up to 20 children alongside a Teacher's Assistant, computer/Internet aptitude, compliance requirements and a criminal background check.

Our summer programs run July to August for five weeks and are held in Boston area schools.
