As a System Engineer for Benefitfocus, you would be required to have the following skills:
* 5 years of IT experience
* 2-3 years experience as a System Engineer responsible for configuration and management of an EMC SAN storage environment (Clariion, DMX)
* Experience with storage implementation for VMWare ESX environments
* Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skill
* Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
* Installation, configuration, and administration of Red Hat Linux in an Enterprise environment
* Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise database implementation
* Shell scripting
* Responsible for the administration of server related hardware and software
* Perform systems administration and maintenance tasks
Required Experience:

* Microsoft Windows Server configuration and management
* Backup Hardware, Software and Procedures (Backup Exec, Tape Library)
* System Monitoring Software (Foglight, What’s Up Gold)
* Expertise collaborating with vendors for estimates, software/hardware upgrades, and technical support and equipment issues
* Implement disaster recovery plan and all elements of risk mitigation
