Job Description:
We’re looking for someone that has strong data warehouse experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, is able to develop processes, build and tune SQL queries, and design schemas. Experience with ETL, big data (Hadoop cluster), OLAP, BI reporting and analysis tools are all pluses.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Involvement in all aspects of Data Warehouse database development and administration, including schema design, ETL process, monitoring, performance, query/database tuning and backup strategy.
• Design, develop and maintain the Business Intelligence platform that includes all BI server management and development of new reports to support ongoing business needs.
• Monitor and maintain data quality by implementing a strategy for correcting data errors, devising an alerting and triage system for ETL and data quality failures and developing automation for continuous validation of data quality and availability.

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science.
• 5+ years experience working extensively with SQL in a *nix environment.
• Strong knowledge and experience with one or more relational databases: MySQL, Postgres, Oracle.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence developer with solid knowledge of data warehousing fundamentals: star schema, denormalization, etc. and relational database design concepts (modeling, design, metadata management).
• 3+ years using ETL tools in a DW environment and custom ETL scripting
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Ruby, Python, etc.) and Linux environments.
• Strong general SQL knowledge for utilization in query optimization and tuning in a DW/BI environment.

Desired Qualifications:
• Strong familiarity and professional experience with MySQL is a plus.
• Recent experience with suite of tools such as Pentaho, Jaspersoft, Tableau is a plus.
• Familiarity with Hadoop (HDFS/Hive/Pig/Hbase/Sqoop) or other MapReduce paradigms is a plus.
• Experience and familiarity with Amazon Web Services is a plus.
