Position Summary:
Responsible for managing the development of software to ensure that software engineering projects and initiatives meet specified milestones and schedules

Your Primary Responsibilities:
• Manages the development of a specific software product or group of products
• Responsible for daily operation of the department and ensuring that software engineering projects and initiatives meet specified milestones and schedules
• Exercises independent judgment and discretion in overall project management. Prioritizes, plans and tracks project progress. Provides status reporting to the Director of Software Engineering.
• Designs, develops and modifies programs, including prototypes. Researches product development options and provides analysis for product direction.
• Consults with internal departments to identify customer needs and include into project objectives. Provides support regarding product development to internal departments.
• Creates related documentation.

Requirements (the “technical stuff”):
• Minimum of a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, required.
• 7 or more years experience in content/software engineering and 3 or more years of management experience
• Web Service specific experience particularly with Axis and Tomcat
• JMS specific experience
• C++ and/or C# experience particularly Microsoft COM based experience

Preferred Skills & Experience:
• BOUT 3+ years of integration or configuration of Point of Sale Technology (preferably Xpient, Radiant, Micros or Par)
• Credit Card Processing Integration Services experience
• Java Certifications
• Experience complying with PCI - DSS standards
• Exceptional people skills
