PURPOSE

The incumbent will be a key member of a multi-functional Production Unit (PU), and will lead and coordinate activity for the Production Engineering team. Team responsibilities include: well and production optimization, well integrity management, well surveillance, well intervention planning, allocation and production reporting support, short term forecasting, and completion optimization support.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

The incumbent will be responsible to:

Supervise Permian Production Engineering team

Lead, coach and mentor production engineering team to deliver business plan

Ensure team support well surveillance and production optimization activities

Ensure quality well integrity management plan in compliance to company and regulatory standards

Ensure production engineering support in completion design optimization via analysis of well data

Ensure design and optimization of artificial lift

Coordinate periodic multi-functional well reviews

Mentor and Support junior engineers in daily monitoring of wells

Review and approve wellwork activity and draft procedures

Ensure team support for Operations on basic flow assurance, fluid management (oil, gas, water), and metering

Support well allocation quality assurance process

Review and approve regulatory well reporting

Ensure quality short term production forecasts are prepared to support business processes

Support of rig and frac schedule optimization

Support of surface engineering team in design of processing facilities

Participate in development of annual budgets (Capital, Operating, and volumes)

Participate in development of the Business Planning Process - Field Depletion Plan, the Life of Asset Plan, the Closure Plan, the Resource Development Plan, etc.

Report and present results of team work as required.

Develop and maintain networks and working relationships with key peers and colleagues in other asset teams

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

BS Degree in Engineering

Experience:

+10 years relevant engineering experience

Operating company experience

Prefer shale operational experience

Prefer wellwork procedure experience

Prefer Artificial lift design and optimization experience

Languages:

English required
