PURPOSE

Provide reservoir engineering expertise in the BHPBilliton-operated Eagle Ford Shale Production Unit

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

An overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development

Alignment with the BHP Billiton operating principles and Charter Values

Development planning activities for an active drilling program including:

o Defining the drilling inventory

o Selecting well locations

o Optimisation of well spacing, completion design and performance

Reservoir Surveillance activities to improve understanding of well performance

Provide guidance and mentoring for junior engineers

Reservoir modelling for horizontal fractured wells

Generate economic evaluations for well proposals and budgets

Communicate with JV partners on engineering technical issues

Evaluate well performance

Manage ARIES (or similar) input properties

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline

Demonstrated success as a Reservoir Engineer

Strong knowledge and understanding of shale gas operations

Expertise in DCA, RTA and PTA

Expertise estimating reserves

Proficiency with probabilistic methods

Expertise in technical applications such as ARIES, Peep, OFM and reserves software

Expertise in Reservoir simulation and nodal analysis

Competence in MS Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project

Excellent analytical skills
