PURPOSE

To provide Facilities project engineering support to a portfolio of projects associated with BHP Billiton's US onshore developments.

Key Accountabilities

Technical quality of engineering deliverables

Timely delivery of project scope

Cost control of project scope

Comply with the various standards, processes and systems as defined by the BHPB Group Level Documents, Petroleum CSG and all Regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with preparing development plans, schedules, cost estimates and execution strategies in support of BHP Billiton's onshore facilities projects.

Provide technical oversight and management of engineering contractors.

Participate in tendering process related to engineering, procurement, installation, and start-up.

Coordinate with Production, Regulatory and HSEC personnel to assure compliance, safety and appropriate integration of facility systems.

Coordinate with project services personnel to assure facilities meet cost and schedule objectives.

Coordinate with Quality Assurance personnel to assure that Quality Plans are complied with and Quality objectives are met
EXPERIENCE

Key attributes:

Bachelors or Masters Degree and 10 years + years experience from the oil and gas industry with understanding of the following areas:

Engineering systems

Contractor management

Assurance activities (Peer Assist and Review).

Good computer literacy and analytical skills

Proven track record in engineering design

Proven track record in onshore project delivery

Understanding of US Federal and Texas State oil & gas development legislation and regulations
