Purpose:

The incumbent will be a key member of the Base Asset team coordinating the work of field based Production Engineers. They will be required to set direction, drawing on an in depth knowledge of well surveillance, optimisation and integrity management. They will also assist in defining completion design requirements for infill well opportunities. The incumbent will need to identify opportunities to enhance production and be able to plan well work programs. Experience of artificial lift, multiphase metering and integrated production modelling would be a distinct advantage.

Core Accountabilities:

The incumbent will be responsible to:

Work with the Subsurface Team and local production engineers to set Production Engineer direction and deliverables.

Maintain close contact and liaison with field based Production Engineers and Operations Managers.

Coordinate production engineering activity

Act as first point of contact and provide compelling Production Engineering advice, support and recommendations in a timely manner.

Provide In depth knowledge and experience of well surveillance and optimization activities.

Provide In depth knowledge of integrated production modelling.

Help develop and maintain the well integrity management systems, working with global functional and operations groups to ensure compliance to company standards.

Specify completion requirements for infill wells and assist in developing Basis of Completion Design documents.

Identify and mature production enhancement opportunities.

Develop well work programs and work with the Drilling department to ensure these are executed safely and efficiently.

Provide stewardship of well related AFEs

Provide advice on basic flow assurance, fluid management (oil, gas, water), well testing and metering

Participate in development of annual budgets (Capital, Operating, and volumes)

Participate in development of the Field Depletion Plan, the Life of Asset Plan, the Closure Plan, the Resource Development Plan, etc.

Mentor and develop local Production Engineers.

Develop and maintain networks and working relationships with key peers and colleagues in other asset teams.

Adhere to Corporate Guide to Business Conduct.

Adhere to HSEC Policy and Management Standards.

Support HSEC initiatives and ensure compliance with the agreed HSEC procedures and practices of all activities in areas of discipline responsibility.

Qualifications:
BS Degree in Engineering

Experience:

+15 years relevant engineering experience

Operating company experience in a PU role

Production optimization experience.

Production enhancement experience.

Completion design experience preferred.

Prefer advanced user skill level with IPM, PI, EU, OFM
