The BAA team in Seattle is seeking an Operational Due Diligence Analyst.

Responsibilities:

Compile and monitor third party service provider relationships, terms, and firm specific data points
Participate and support onsite due diligence reviews on hedge fund and third party service provider operational support structures, internal controls, trade processing environments, process flows, and personnel
Evaluate accounting and reporting processes and controls including cash management, valuation practices, and NAV analyses
Review fund manager and service provider audited financial statements and control reports
Evaluate hedge fund infrastructures, market trends, and industry developments
Review hedge funds’ legal documentation, compliance procedures, and regulatory requirements
Prepare operational due diligence reports for communication to management
Contribute to the overall operational risk measurement, monitoring, and reporting environments
Develop market intelligence and understand industry best practice of fund managers, administrators, valuation agents, non-executive directors, prime brokers, external auditors, and attorneys
Qualifications:

Experience in public accounting or with a specialized firm serving hedge fund managers
BA/BS required; interest in pursuing CPA and/or CFA designation
Capacity to keep the strategic vision of a company in sight while paying attention to the details of day-to-day operations
High proficiency in Excel; functions, formulas, macros and VBA
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Outstanding analytical and organizational skills
Demonstrated track record of sound and accurate judgment
Self-directed with a hands-on, roll up the sleeves” approach
