We provide internal and external client service and support for Facilities Management, Business Services, Travel, BCM, Health & Safety, Corporate Security, Design & Construction, Critical Engineering, and Real Estate.
The New York Vice President of Facilities Management is responsible for client service and facilities operations at BlackRock’s New York City campus: 30 floors, over 2000 employees and 550,000 square feet.
Responsible for the day-to-day operations and service of BlackRock’s New York Campus, which includes three buildings in midtown Manhattan
Manages in-house maintenance team and third party vendors. This team is responsible for all repairs and preventative maintenance for HVAC, MEP, cleaning, painting, carpet, lighting and energy efficiency as well as responding to Work Order requests, MACs, and small projects
Partners with building management team and BlackRock’s Critical Engineering, Security, Real Estate, Business Continuity and Design & Construction teams, as well as other operations teams on issues and projects related to the New York Campus
Customer Relationship Partner with all lines of business at the New York Campus
Prepare budgets and financial reports for New York Campus
Supports global projects as required
Successful candidate will become acquainted with BlackRock’s culture and will have the opportunity to work with many parts of the firm, thereby gaining exposure to BlackRock’s various businesses.
Must have 10 years in facilities management
Requires strong operating and capital budget experience
Disaster Recovery and BCM experience required
Experience with data centers preferred
Experience in financial services corporate facilities management preferred
Demonstrated expertise in working in a high pressure environment with fluid priorities
Must have experience in effectively responding to requests from senior managers
Strong Customer Service Experience required
Superior client service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
Experience/certification in Facilities Management and systems, i.e. CMMS and AutoCad
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with continuously evolving priorities
Skill in influencing without authority
This position requires a superior team player
