BlackRock is one of the world’s preeminent asset management firms and a premier provider of global investment management, risk management and advisory services to institutional, intermediary and individual investors around the world. Aladdin is central to our technology strategy, unifying BlackRock by providing everyone with a common language and a central point of reference for our investment activities globally.
The Aladdin and Application Engineering teams within the Aladdin & Technology group use the latest technologies to design and develop applications that make up the firm’s investment management platform. The systems support the full lifecycle of the investment management process, from quantitative risk management to order entry, trade routing and settlement.
Role Responsibility:

In Technology, Analysts participate in a rotational program that provides an opportunity to experience firsthand what it's like to apply classroom learning and internship experiences in a major financial organization. Approximately every six months, Analysts move to a new rotation. For example, an Analyst could spend the first six months within the networking team, the second six months within Unix or Windows Server, the third as a Packaging Engineer, etc. The range of options is wide, with rotation options commonly available in:

Network Engineering
Desktop Engineer
Voice Infrastructure
Unix Administration
Windows Administration
Storage Administration
Project Management
Business Continuity
Security
After the first rotation, Analysts help shape their experience by selecting their subsequent rotations with guidance from a manager who supports their development and career planning. Following the rotational program, this guidance continues as the manager and Analyst work together to determine post-program placement. Throughout the program and beyond, Analysts add real value to critical projects, all of which have a direct impact on our success.

Experience:

Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA and a bachelor-s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, management information systems, or a related discipline
Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills
Desire to pursue a career in Technology
