The Office of the COO and President is focused on providing strategic support, presentations, and analyses for BlackRock’s senior management. * * * * * * * * * * We are in the market for a Vice President level professional that will support BlackRock’s President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) and serve as a key member of the staff responsible for central coordination of projects across Corporate & Business Operations (CBO) and firm-wide initiatives. The Business Specialist will direct and/or support project management implementation and coordination, and research support for the COO’s internal and external communications. Key responsibilities for the Business Specialist will include: Assist the COO in the development, implementation, and tracking of all projects. Monitor all C-level initiatives and ensure that all are moving in a timely and effective fashion. Ensures that accountable individuals are accomplishing their objectives according to deliverables and that results are of highest quality Proactively manage relationship development internally and externally and serve as an ambassador of relationships for the COO Drafting confidential C-level presentations for the firm’s Board of Directors, Leadership Summits, external and internal conferences/meetings Qualified candidates must demonstrate the following qualities: 2-4 years of experience in asset management or financial services. Strong contributor with ability to deliver in fast paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple demands. Intellectually curious with the ability to take initiative and deliver results in a matrixed organization. Ability to synthesize and analyze large quantities of data to create useful information and concise analyses; ability to effectively manage projects; results oriented and able to roll-up the sleeves” in order to accomplish necessary tasks.
