DescriptionThe Blue Mountain Project is a grassroots organization that works in Jamaica on health care, safe water, education, and economic development projects with the assistance of international and local volunteers.
Our Service Learning Program Coordinator is in charge of recruiting, preparing and getting international volunteers to Jamaica. She is based in Florida and performs much of her work via the internet and telephone. She needs an intern to assist her. The intern can be based anywhere as long as s/he has good phone and internet connections and a desire to help. If interested please send a resume and 300-500 word essay explaining your interest in our organization to slp@bluemountainproject.org Requirements for the internship are as follows: Must be self-sufficient Work 10-15 hours per week Help recruit volunteers in consultation with the SLP Coordinator Be able to organize and file appropriate paperwork; both hard and soft copies Helps research potential relationships with colleges, universities, churches, other institutions and general public to further promote the mission of the BMP Research other nonprofit organizations to help evaluate the BlMPs program Other duties as assigned by the SLP Coordinator Apply on Company Website |
