Our semester long music business internship seeks college juniors, seniors and graduate students who are interested in and have knowledge of independent music. Our interns will be assisting with Blues Island Productions and artist management duties.

We are looking for highly motivated, detailed oriented, energetic associates that can work on various projects simultaneously. All responsibilities are project oriented and administratively focused. Music Publishing and Licensing Intern will assist with Blues Island catalog, music distributors, and digital music companies.

Must have knowledge of music publishing, music supervision, enjoy listening to music, writing marketing plans, working with music distributors, knowledge of Itunes and other online outlets, ability to interact with artists. Interns must understand licensing contracts, and listen to new releases, and have knowledge of pitching songs for film/TV placement. General office duties may include emailing, faxing, making photocopies.

Successful Interns upon completion on internship will also be preferred candidates for future openings of full-time/part-time paid positions.
