Job Duties/Accountabilities of Position:

Be a key ITSM usability Lead working with Product management and R&D, as we continue to aggressively grow our existing business and expand into adjacent markets. Play a key role in ITSM and Business Solutions usability.

The Lead Usability Developer designs and redesigns user interfaces, collects user data to inform product designs, and works with product development teams to drive usability into the products. The Lead Usability Developer coordinates among multiple usability developers supporting one suite of products. The Lead Usability Developer stays attuned to advances in the field of usability and UI design, and communicates these advances to the corporation.

Primary responsibilities for role:- Evaluate the usability of emerging user interfaces. Employing standard usability methods such as task analysis, heuristic evaluation, usability walkthroughs, lab testing, field-testing, and surveys.- Coordinate across various usability developers supporting one product division.- Anticipate problems with usability support and recommend solutions.- Make recommendations about usability improvements.- Design user interfaces.- Work with product development teams to maximize the usability of their products.- Help build and maintain a usability infrastructure, driving usability engineering throughout BMC.- Provide particular support for documentation usability.- Coordinate with other usability developers, to drive cross-product consistency.- Help promote the tenets of usability engineering across the corporation.- Help drive awareness of BMC Usability, outside of the corporation.- Bring awareness of state-of-the-art user interface technology into the company.- Bring awareness of emerging usability-engineering methods into the company.- Usability training.

Position Requirements
