Position Description

BMC Software is seeking an experienced candidate with knowledge of Remedy AR System, ITSM Solution and related BMC OnDemand Solutions to join the BMC OnDemand team

This position will work very closely with:
• BMC OnDemand Customers
• BMC Professional Services and other BMC / Partner teams to ensure that
• OnDemand Support teams including Database, Networking, Security, and Wintel
• OnDemand Vendors
• Support personnel located globally

Responsibilities
• ITSM support Team (7.6.x and above)•Work as a production support (Operations) resource whenever required and necessary
• Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
• Deliver assigned deliverables; meet SLA''s and Customer Satisfaction ratings.
• Execute changes by adhering to a documented Change Management process
• Join outage calls and resolve issues with complete ownership
• Participate in problem resolution and provide solutions
• Will need to document any challenges and / or issues and work on the resolution or escalate where appropriate
• Will coordinate with cross functional groups to get the required work done
• Will ensure activation and other services are delivered in manner as to generate a high level of customer satisfaction
• Attend all required and mandatory daily meetings.•Hot Fix/Application Patching•Code Promotions•DB Migrations•Application Configuration Changes•Activation tasks•L1 SQL DB support•Application Service Requests

Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an Information Technology or Business Systems related discipline.
• Will be a subject matter expert with experience of 3-5 years in two (2) or more of the following: Remedy AR, ITSM, ITIL processes, BMC OnDemand solutions (like Analytics, Dashboards, ITBM and Mobility), Integrations, Authentication and Network Connectivity to the OnDemand solution
• 3-5 years in-depth hands-on experience, practical and theoretical knowledge of installation, configuration, development and production support of the BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite 7.6.x and higher
• Hands-on experience with federating data from the CMDB
• Hands-on experience utilizing the Atrium Integration Engine to populate the CMDB
• Experience participating in medium to large, global Remedy ITSM implementations – performing both installs and upgrades
• Previous experience working in a Customer facing role and / or 24*7 Operations
• Experience and ability to manage to critical deadlines and working under time constraints
• Working knowledge of Incident, Change and Problem management processes
• Strong communication skills (Written and verbal)
• Ability to work in a matrix organization
• ITIL certification preferable

This position is part of a 24X7 operational support model and will include weekend and after hour work as needed
