Position Description
BMC Finance is seeking to add a Financial Analyst to its headquarters location in Houston, TX. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated candidate that can deliver business insights to influence the strategy and leadership. This person will partner with business leaders, utilizing analytics and advanced technologies, to provide financial insight and direction. Key responsibilities include:

* Compiles and analyzes financial information and trends for assigned organization, and communicates results and recommendations to Business and Senior Leadership

* Develops and maintains integrated financial plans commensurate with level of responsibility

* Has responsibility for accurate forecasting and planning of both revenue and expense

* Helps cross-functional team members understand the financial impact of their business decisions, with accompanying analytics

* Evaluates strategic opportunities and creates supporting business cases

* Key contributor on CFO Reviews, Quarterly Business Updates and Management meetings

Position Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree required, Finance or Accounting concentration preferred, approximately 5 years of experience in a Finance related role, MBA or CPA a plus

* Strong communication skills

* Strong analytical and modeling skills

* Advanced Excel and Power Point skills

* Knowledge of financial principles and accounting/budgeting practice

* Experience functioning as a business partner with management level business clients

* Can independently own and manage finance or business initiatives

* Creative, can-do attitude

* Looking to join a very collaborative, high energy team

Background in information technology and/or software is a plus
