2nd& Charles is a new retail concept that buys and sells used books, music, movies, video games, comics, collectibles and more in an eco-friendly environment. Instead of finding new ways to use old product, 2nd& Charles came up with the great idea of just helping people reuse them.

2nd & Charles District Manager
Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Manage a multi-unit diverse inventory selection which includes consumer electronics, music and media
* Assist in the recruitment and hiring of the most qualified managers to meet the district's needs
* High-touch customer service in a creative retail atmosphere
* Conduct orientation, train and coach the management staff to execute daily tasks and maximize sales
* Participate in developing long-range goals and objectives
* Coordinate sales promotion activities and pricing of merchandise; oversee preparation of placement and displays
* Review operational reports and metrics to ensure adherence to policies and procedures, monitor store profitability, and manage payroll budgets
* Analyze marketing potential of new and existing store locations and coordinate new store openings
* Ensure proper channels of communication through complex relationships
Skills and Competencies:
* Previous multi-unit leadership experience is required
* Previous experience in consumer electronics, music or media is preferred
* Collaborative team player whose strong people focus can develop and train employees, communicate across all lines of management, and effectively utilize the skills of the work force
* Strong ability to merchandise and manage store operations effectively
* Proven experience to provide outstanding customer service in a creative work environment
* Innate ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment
* Four-year degree preferred but not required


* Ideal location for this position would be close proximity to a major metropolitan area on the East Coast
* Ability to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
* 5 years retail management experience required
* Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
* Ability to handle multi-million dollar sales volume
* Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills.
* Availability to travel
