Description Under the general supervision of the Boston University Affiliated Physician, Inc. (BUAP) Associate Director of Operations, the Senior Team Coordinator is administratively responsible for the planning, supervision, coordination, and direction of the day-to-day operations at the Copley and overseeing the operations of the DOB and Charles River practice locations. Responsible for ensuring that the practices meet stated performance/service goals and best practice performance through standardization, and resolving operational issues/ challenges in the process/ practice environment. Responsibilities also include promoting continuity of care, improving patient flow/access, patient satisfaction and physician/ team satisfaction, enhancing the growth of managed care, and ensuring staff competency, system/ process uniformity. The Senior Team Coordinator will execute the position responsibilities through direct supervision of the front office and clinical support staff in the Copley practice, and the Team Leads in the DOB and Charles River practices. The Senior Team Coordinator will distribute standards and best practices to Team Lead/Coordinator in other BUAP practices as well.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required. A Masters Degree, or ongoing studies in pursuit of a Masters Degree, in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Work requires at least five years of full-time hands-on experience in an outpatient/ambulatory or primary care practice setting with a least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Demonstrated technical competency using standard hospital computer systems including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), web browsers, and registration systems (such as, CareTracker, EWS, IDX, SDK, Logician, etc.).
  • Ability to mentor, guide and motivate staff through demonstration of best practices and leading by example.
  • Knowledge of clinical operations, financial and human resources policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of health care industry and governmental regulations affecting practices.
  • Excellent ability to communicate with patients and ensure a positive patient experience with the practice
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent English grammatical skills with the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and management skills, including the ability to set priorities, efficiently delegate, and motivate staff to complete assigned work.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems in a systematic, logical, and timely manner.
  • Must be able to maintain strict protocols of all confidential or sensitive information.
