Description

* Ensure that IT products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements
* Partner with a cross functional team to understand business and technical requirements to achieve business objectives
* Determine the appropriate software test strategies and translate them into required test documentation
* Follow structured approach for designing, developing, executing and managing test plans, test cases, test data
* Serves as a subject matter expert for software testing and quality assurance practices
* Undergraduate degree
* 2+ years of experience planning, designing, developing and executing software tests of business applications
* Demonstrated knowledge in various types of testing, including system integration, user acceptance, regression, and performance testing
* Strong problem solving skills to determined the effects on new and existing systems
* Ability to identify data discrepancies and data quality issues and work with software developers to ensure data consistency and integrity
* Strong knowledge of SDLC
* Understanding of project management concepts and techniques
* Ability to take ownership and multi-task effectively
* Ability to communicate well across the organization with non-technical users and managers in business language and with technical coworkers, contractors and managers in technical language
* Strong PC skills and demonstrated proficiency with MS Office products
* Experience in banking / bank card, financial industry processing preferred
* Ability to read logical and physical data models and understand the relationship between various tables
* Ability to extract and interpret data utilizing basic SQL queries
* Ability to quickly learn and understand business process(s) and flows involved in the system capabilities being tested
* Knowledge of risk driven software testing
* Familiarity with automated testing techniques
* Familiarity with object-oriented programming design patterns and methodologies

Requirements

Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Two plus (2+) years experience planning, designing, developing and executing software test of business applications. Knowledge in various types of testing, including system integration, user acceptance, regression, and performance testing. Strong problem solving skills, ability to identify data quality issues, strong knowledge of SDLC, understanding of project management, ability to communicate well across the organization, and strong PC skills.

Desired: Experience in banking/financial industry, ability to read logical and physical data models, ability to extract and interpret data using basic SQL queries, ability to quickly learn and understand business process flows, familiarity with object-oriented programming design patterns and methodologies.
