Qualifications/Job Responsibilities: ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY In your role, you will have one or more of the following responsibilities. Analyze requirements, design, develop and deliver high quality software using the latest technologies and innovations in a timely manner. Understand customer requirements and translate them into engineering requirements. Review and sign off on requirements documents. Write functional and design specification documents and drive sign-off. Interface with developers, QA, Documentation & Customer Support teams as needed. Architect, design, develop, test, or troubleshoot features or functions. Interact cross functionally on matters that require coordination across organization lines. Participate in full product life cycle development. SKILLS Skilled in two or more of the following: • Strong background in data structures and algorithm design; • Good knowledge of basic OS features like Multi-threading, synchronization and memory management on Linux or Linux-like Operating systems; • Proficient in software development tools, source code control environment; • Conversant in embedded software development tools and debuggers; • Working knowledge of traffic generators and protocol analyzers; • Experience working in high performance and highly scalable environments; • Experience in multicore CPU, SMP, network processor environment; • Experience architecting, designing or implementing complex software systems in a large team environment Additional specialized skills in some of the following: • 5+ years experience with system software development. • Experience in Fiber Channel,FCoE protocols, or storage protocols knowledge is a plus. • Exposure to L2/L3 protocols and control path programming is desired. QUALIFICATIONS BS/MS in EE/CS with 6+ of related industry experience developing in 'C' and 'Operating systems'; Excellent analytical, problem-solving, programming and trouble shooting skills required; good written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills required; must be self-motivated with an ability to work effectively and harmoniously in large teams.
