Job Requisition ID: SB16845 Job Title: VP & GM Job Type: Permanent Location: New York, NY Job Description: Position Accountabilities * Assures achievement of divisional financial objectives, contributing to the delivery of a fair return to the company’s shareholders. * Assures partnership with the Wholesale Marketing team to develop a comprehensive brand strategy. * Assures the development and communication of effective sales and merchandising strategies that deliver top line sales and bottom line profit for the division * Assures the development and communication of effective distribution strategies. * Assures partnership with the Product Development team through the development and communication of a comprehensive line planning strategyProfile Accountabilities * Assures high performance and customer focus from all direct reports for cross-functional impact by: * Motivating and inspiring team to achieve their highest potential * Providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback * Providing the opportunities and tools direct reports need to grow and gain the skills and knowledge needed to realize their potential * Attracting talent and selecting high caliber people of diverse cultures, backgrounds and experiences from both inside and outside of the organization * Delegating authority and encouraging staff to take calculated risks * Adapting style to capitalize on different talent * Assures effective management of change to reach functional and organizational goals by: * Developing and communicating a strategic direction for the division/functional area * Proactively developing intra-company relationships, partnerships, and initiatives * Demonstrating creativity by breaking norms, trying new models, and generating ideas * Replicating successful endeavors and institutionalizing successful practices * Assures the judicious use of company resources and sound business justification for all budgetary decisions by: * Evaluating long-range business impact * Searching for the most accurate information and facing the brutal facts * Assures a collaborative environment that fosters and values partnerships, diversity, and trust by: * Demonstrating and modeling a passion for meeting customer needs and exceeding customer expectations * Exhibiting selflessness by helping others become more successful in their roles * Promoting the sharing of talent resources across functions and business units to create or improve business results * Actively seeking the ideas of others and valuing differing perspectives * Building trust by communicating honestly, directly, and candidlyPosition Essential Functions * Oversee merchandising function to ensure an effective business model and the effective inventory management process * Oversee the development and ongoing management of an effective retail planning and analysis function to efficiently maximize sell through activity * Oversee the development of successful sell in and sell through sales strategies * Oversee development of processes that ensure customer needs are met, including timely delivery of product. * Travel to markets to establish and maintain positive working relationships with senior management of accounts. * Work with Sales Managers to plan and lead Sales Meetings for the field organization. * Oversee the development of a seasonal line plan providing direction to the product development team to ensure division financial targets are achieved. * Partner with Brand Marketing Partners to ensure that marketing and brand strategies support the division financial targets and brand message.Position Specifications Educational Preference: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.Job Experience: 10+ years experienceComputer Experience: Microsoft Office Apply on Company Website |
