Description
The QA/QC Manager has the overall responsibility for managing and executing the Quality Program to ensure that installations comply with the applicable plans, codes, standards,specifications, and construction practices, including the timely completion and collection of inspection and test reports as required. Major responsibilities of the QA/QC Manager are as follows:
  • Confirm that the project Quality Control Inspectors are providing the proper documentation and developing Turn-Over Packages
  • Track and manage the preparation and process through resolution of Non-Conformance
  • Reporting (NCR) and Corrective Action Reporting (CAR) in order to ensure appropriate and timely resolution
  • Organize Quality Assurance reports for submission to the Owner on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Responsible for independent testing services scheduling and management, with scheduling support from the Construction, Transmission Line and Substation Managers
  • Overall quality control management of all construction disciplines
  • Reviews and approves records of worker qualifications (i.e. Welder)
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving all subcontracted related quality assurance
  • Monitors quality control programs of other project groups (i.e. Engineering and Testing)
  • Responsible for providing weekly and monthly reporting regarding quality assurance
  • Review and approval of all quality assurance requirements
  • Owns and enforces project Quality Assurance Manual
  • Review & approval of all subcontracted related quality assurance
  • Supports scheduling with respect to deliveries and required quality related inspections
