General Description:
Work includes conceptual studies, detailed design, purchase, field installation, and construction support of Fired Equipment in the oil, gas and chemical industries. Will serve as the Lead Fired Equipment Engineer for EPC (Engineer, Procure and Construct) Projects, will ensure effective communications with other engineering disciplines and effective management of change, and will mentor Junior Fired Equipment Engineers.

Reports to the Department Manager and Project Manager/Project Engineer

Job Description:

· Responsible for preparing equipment specifications and data sheets, P&ID’s, RFQ’s, technical bid summaries, and purchase recommendations for furnaces, fired heaters, boilers, internal and heat recovery coils, refractory, burners, flares, burner management systems, SCR systems, etc.

· Responsible for the review fired equipment vendor drawings and data, interface with suppliers, clients, other engineering disciplines, detailers/designers.

· Responsible for preparation of construction and installation scopes of work for fired equipment; and attendance at vendor meetings, inspections and FAT’s (Factory Acceptance Tests)
