Positions available for lead mechanical engineers with 4 to 15 years of experience in fueling systems.

Burns & McDonnell is considered the leading consultant in the aircraft fueling industry. We are engaged in high visibility projects both large and small at major airports and military facilities worldwide. Additionally, the fueling department executes projects for major oil companies and other industrial clients, including pipeline terminals and truck loading facilities.

Successful candidate would be experienced in the design and construction of military fuel systems, potentially including:

· Familiarity with military standards including UFC 3-460-01(MIL-HDBK 1022A)

· Familiarity with military fuel system specifications (Unified Facilities Guide Specifications – USACE/NAVFAC)

· Design of Type III, IV & V hydrant fueling systems

· Design of militarystorage tanks including aboveground and cut & cover types

· Design of truck load/unload facilities

Experience with industrial piping systems and equipment including pumps, valves, storage tanks and accessories is desired. Responsibilities will include creation of P&IDs, mechanical system control arrangements, layout of equipment pads and valve manifolds, system hydraulics and pipe stress analysis. Familiarity with fuel receipt, storage and dispensing systems is beneficial.
