Description The Director of Consumer Product Strategy will lead several product, pricing and packaging initiatives aimed at differentiating Cablevision’s broadband Internet, WiFi and voice services to over 2.7M residential customers. S/he will drive efforts to achieve brand loyalty, revenue, net contribution, customer growth, and customer experience objectives.

Responsibilities include:

Be the voice of the customer. Ensure that customer needs are clearly understood and incorporated and protected in all Optimum product offerings. Identify new opportunities for product enhancement and differentiation. Assist in the development of the business cases for introduction of all new features/offerings. Understand emerging trends affecting ISP, telecommunications, and online media. Evaluate market research, customer trends, competitive products, and technological advancements to recommend and champion product development, pricing and packaging initiatives. Evaluate potential partnerships to enhance our product roadmap. Perform build vs. buy analysis for new potential offerings balancing time to market and long-term objectives. Define detailed product requirements, to achieve desired customer experience. Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams in conjunction with product operations to develop and roll out new offerings, packages or bundles on time and within budget. Collaborate with Product Management cohorts in development, operations, and the Commercial business to develop cross-platform offerings that maximize acquisition, improve retention, and maintain cash flow growth. Manage offerings through full product lifecycle. Provide ongoing detailed product analysis on key features, offerings, market trends that can have a significant impact on acquisition and retention of the Optimum Online subscribers.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred. Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in Product Management, or Marketing for a consumer products/services brand or equivalent experience in Management Consulting. Must have managed one or more successful new product introductions. Prior experience creating successful, high scale communications and/or entertainment services. Thorough understanding of broad organizations and ability to develop and evaluate management and communications processes across functions. Extremely passionate about all things digital. Must be motivated, driven and ambitious. Analytical and Results-Oriented: Must have the ability to identify, analyze and execute key elements of strategic vision. Deep comfort and experience with financial reporting, modeling, and competitive analysis. Must be able to alternate between strategic thinking and robust product management. Cross-functional Leadership and Interpersonal skills: Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of the organization; ability to navigate inter-departmentally and achieve results from functional teams without direct report accountability. Develop relationships within the organization to maximize efficiencies in both process and plan execution. Communication skills: A strong communicator and team player who can foster collaboration and build consensus across multiple constituencies. Especially strong in written communications and presentation skills. Flexibility: Able to adjust quickly and effectively to changing priorities and demands. Remains calm and objective under pressure. Decisiveness: Demonstrates confidence and decision-making abilities. Commits to definite courses of action and can support decision as fact-based. Strategic insight about consumer technology, and/or entertainment needs. In particular, knowledge of online media and personal communications Internet usage trends. A very deep understanding of Internet, Voice or Wireless capabilities and their potential complimentary product offerings. Ability to design great consumer experiences. Product launch, process development, and operations experience. Experience making product decisions and trade-offs with technical and operations teams while maintaining a customer / business focus. Ability to grasp operational and functional details of network and server operations and other technical details of the Internet or Voice infrastructure.
