Description BASIC FUNCTION:

Participate in Infrastructure Systems support and maintenance tasks as a resource. Certify new servers presented at PRB. Deploy SD packages. Competent to manage moderate to complex projects. Provides direct support to customers and maintains system stability. Performs support administration of the File/Print, Active Directory, messaging and mobile device systems. Recommends break-fix solutions to remedy issues. General supervision. Works on defined tasks independently.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE:

• Assists in specific support tasks such as disk space reporting, user account management, and system rights management.
• Provide direct support to server and email users.
• Assist in the change management processes.
• Participate in support and maintenance tasks to expand understanding and knowledge.
• Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
• Perform daily health checks on multiple systems including alerts and monitoring.
Qualifications College degree or equivalent work experience. Some level of industry certification (CNE, MCSE). Minimum of two (2) years systems support experience. Ability to demonstrate experience in managing large server environments. Working knowledge of Windows Server and desktop operating systems, Novell GroupWise, Microsoft Windows and TCP/IP. Some knowledge of Software Distribution, Network Management & Messaging and SMTP. Complete understanding of OSI model.
