Cal ARG is a virtual start-up based out of Sacramento. It consists of 8 full-time contractors, 3 SEOs and 5 website developers and application programmers. We are partially funded and manage multiple internet, lead generation campaigns sourcing $1M+/year in revenue for our customers. We boast first-page Google positions on commercially relevant keyword families equaling 12.5M searches/year. We are one of four domestic companies who can cost-effectively deploy universal mobile app technology to the private sector.
Internship Description:
We are seeking an enterprising individual who wishes to gain first-hand experience working in the digital marketing space. Our intention is to train and immediately place the intern in charge of their own account. Responsibilities will be identical to those of a fully-trained and salaried SEO in our organization, except on a smaller scale: Involving only a single client account. The intern shall be responsible for all stages of the SEO life-cycle: Working with the development team around conversion optimization, content development, internal and external link-structure, traffic-sourcing, social signals, and on-page SEO. Training will be provided. Additionally, the intern shall have the opportunity to participate in sales calls, company meetings, long-term strategic planning, and customer support calls if they so desire. The interns success will be tracked in real time by a Google Analytics panel. If the site is successful, the intern will be allowed to keep and export progress in the form of a report, which shall measurably improve their portfolio.
Desired Skill Set
?Excellent creative writing.
?Competent oral communication.
?Minimal background in web development. If absent, 4 hours in html training required.
?MS Office Suite, Joomla, and Wordpress.
?Moderate background in SEO, social media marketing, and general marketing.
Schedule:
Internship is virtual and can be done from home. Company interfaces on Skype and other virtual productivity tools. Candidate should be prepared to devote 8 hours a week to the internship, spread across a 7-day period as they see fit.
Compensation:
The internship is unpaid. Duration of the internship shall be 4 months with the opportunity to extend to a 9 month paid internship upon successful conclusion.
