The Opportunity
Campaign for Americas Future (CAF) and Institute for Americas Future (IAF) seek an Online Journalism Intern who is a well-organized, energetic team player with a commitment to and interest in progressive issues. We are looking for a talented and creative undergraduate or graduate student to help us push for an economy that works for working people. Interning with CAF/IAF is a great way to gain real world experience that could lead to a career in issue advocacy, public policy, public relations or many other public interest fields.

What Youll Do
oCompose content for use on CAF/IAF web sites
oContribute to online mobilization efforts through social media and various other online outlets
oInput data and utilize data from our constituent database
oMonitor online activity and buzz surround blog posts and assist in comment moderation
oConduct online research, including media tracking
oAssist with front desk/receptionist responsibilities

What Youll Have
oBackground in journalism, creative writing, or related fields
oKnowledge of contemporary political debates and issues
oBasic knowledge of HTML
oUnderstanding of online advocacy
oExcellent written communication skills
oCreativity and attention to detail
oKnowledge of basic photo editing software (such as Photoshop) and video editing software preferred
oExperience with content management systems a plus
