* Manage tracking and reporting of expenditures by Major Expenditure Approval (MEA)
* Analyze and research financial information pertaining to fixed assets
* Ensure capital projects are accurate and reclassified to fixed asset accounts when appropriate
* Review and distribute capital budget reports
* Audit and prepare supporting documentation packages related to fixed asset additions
* Support the Tax department with regulatory reporting as required
* Review and approve journal entries related to monthly fixed asset activity and quarterly depreciation accrual
* Analyze and explain capital spending variances to budget
* Review and approve annual depreciation systematic true-up
* Review and approve fixed asset and capital project account reconciliations
* Design, maintain, and report key performance measures
* Ensure policies and procedures are accurately documented and maintained
* Drive continuous improvement changes for processes and procedures
* Directly supervise Capital Spending Analyst and Capital Spending Associate
Required Experience:

* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; Master’s degree or CPA license preferred
* Minimum of 4-5 years related general ledger and fixed assets accounting experience
* Experience working with Infor Financial Management system a plus
* Retail industry experience and/or public accounting experience is a plus
* Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ability to apply
* Excellent analytical skills with proven ability to apply critical thinking skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Knowledge and exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls
