POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the general upkeep, repair, trouble shooting and project work related to many building systems but particularly the installation, repair and preventive maintenance of various plumbing systems. In addition to working Monday through Friday during normal department work hours, will also work on a rotating On-Call basis (generally one week out of five). Job assignments are throughout the Medical Center and other support buildings both on and off campus as needed. Will also have responsibility for project work within the Medical Center, which involves removal or demolition, remodeling, refurbishing, and new construction.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Must be either a High School or trade school graduate. An EPA certificate and journeyman status is desirable.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: State of hawaii Journey Worker Plumber License. Valid Hawaii driver's license in good standing.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: At least three (3) years hands-on experience working with the installation, repair/trouble shooting and maintenance work in the plumbing field in the Medical Center setting.
