POSITION SUMMARY: The Surgical Technician is assigned scrub duties and other specific nursing care duties in relation to the individual's knowledge and skill of procedures to be performed.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent. Completion of an operating room training course.

MINIMUM FIELD-OF-EXPERTISE: One (1) year experience within the last two (2) years as scrub technician.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION: BLS/C renewal biennially. National certification (CST) is preferred.
