BOONE VALLEY GOLF CLUB is located in Augusta, MO.

SCHEDULE:
• Seasonal work: April through November
• Flexible schedule (Weekend work expected)
• Manual Labor (Must be able to walk 3 miles and lift 50 lbs.)
• Starting Pay $8.50 per hour
• Golf Privileges

DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
REPORTS TO: Superintendent

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Assist with the daily grounds maintenance of Boone Valley Golf Club.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• General mowing: mowing of the Greens, Tees, Fairways, and Rough.
• Bunker maintenance, including raking sand bunkers with mechanical rakes and by hand as needed.
• Chemical applications: applying chemicals to the golf course, such as fertilizers, fungicides, insecticides, and herbicides.
• Course set-up responsibilities include hanging holes, tee service, divot filling and ball mark repair.
• Horticulture responsibilities include planting and maintaining flower beds, tree trimming, and prairie maintenance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
No prior education, experience or training is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must pass drug screening test.
• Must pass background check.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, reach, talk, hear, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will often be required to lift up to 25lbs and occasionally up to 50lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and will work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level includes loud noise.
