Advanced Technologies Group (ATG), L.L.C., has multiple opening for individuals who are interested in developing systems using either.NET, Silverlight or Java, self-motivated and would like to work in small teams of very talented members. ATG is looking for several new graduates as well as for developers with multiple years of experience.
ATG, established in 1991, is a software firm located in West Des Moines, Iowa and part of Keefe Group, the leading provider of services to the correctional industry nationwide. The following are minimum requirements for software development:
•Bachelor's Degree or one to two years software development experience.
•At least one year of experience developing either applications in either .NET or Java. MTSC or SCJP certification is valued, those without certification will be rewarded to get them while at ATG.
•Clear understanding of relational database structures and rudimentary knowledge of SQL development is a necessary skill.
•Ability to work well in small groups.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily
•Write software using .NET, Silverlight or Java development tools.
•Ability to interact with complex database structures in Microsoft’s SQL Server or IBM’s DB/2.
•Work in small groups of developers to deliver a robust and scalable software solution

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Very High Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

REASONING ABILITY:
Very High Skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
•At least one year of experience developing either applications in either .NET or Java.
•Clear understanding of relational database structures and rudimentary knowledge of SQL development is a necessary skill.
•Ability to work well in small groups.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Must pass drug screening test, background check, and have satisfactory credit check.
