Job Description:

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Maintain supplies of raw ingredients in production rooms and remove finished goods out of production rooms

•Maintain hopper levels with correct raw ingredients
•Maintain production room with correct film and boxes
•Remove finished goods from production room and stretch wrap
•Complete documentation of lot numbers, pallet tags, waste, etc.
•Comply with FDA, GMP, OSHA and HACCP guidelines
•Ability to recognize and correct quality issues
•Ensure all safety precautions are taken prior to operating machines
•Report any waste of raw materials above normal levels
•Record all lot numbers on lot sheet
•Ensure all magnets and screens are inspected and documented
•Maintain hoppers at a full level unless notified by supervisor or toward end of runs
•Ensure proper ingredients are stocked in the rooms for productions
•Notify a supervisor of any unusual color, scent, texture, or foreign debris in the ingredients
•Inform your supervisor of low stock levels
•Rotate products to use oldest date first – FIFO
•Place products in room with the ID tag facing out and the skid 12 away from an outside wall
•Before opening a product from a skid, pull the ID tag and make sure the information on the tag matches that on the product. Sign and date the ID tag and place on the hopper room clipboard
•Communicate with your supervisor on production levels to assure that there is not too much product stocked/dumped in order to avoid double handling
•Production rooms are to be emptied of all finished products at the end of each production day
•Check to ensure correct product codes are on finished goods
•Complete forklift inspection sheets daily
•Assist in other areas of warehouse/packaging as directed

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations and to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Forklift certification for warehouse position

Self motivator and ability to work with little supervision
Ability to work well in a team
Ability to identify and distinguish colors
Lift raw product and dump in hoppers
Pull skids out of rooms
Must obtain forklift certification
Must pass background check
Must pass drug screening test

The position will work near moving mechanical parts, work in high, precarious places and be exposed to fumes or airborne particles as well as toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
