As a Database Administrator for ICDW, you will be a member of a high-performance team that provides administration for Teradata

databases across the entire promotional environment (development/QA/UAT/production), as well as disaster recovery. You will be

responsible for ensuring maximum up-time with maximum throughput to meet established service-level agreements (SLAs), ensuring

backup integrity, and providing support to development and application support groups as needed. In addition, you will be responsible to

ensure that established JPMC database security guidelines as well as industry best practices are followed, and for meeting project

deadlines and deliverables.

In this role you will be responsible to:

Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 database support

Monitor incident ticket queue and troubleshoot and resolve database incidents within SLAs

Monitor backup results and resolve/troubleshoot failed database backups

Monitor storage capacity and consumption, trend long term usage, and proactively work with Architecture group to plan capacity

expansion

Monitor database and server performance and identify current and future potential bottle-necks - PDCR DBQL

Review, maintain, and periodically test database recovery procedures

Monitor violations discovered by security compliance tool and remediate issues as needed

Review and support the installation of database maintenance security patches and upgrade databases to supported release levels

Support application upgrades of third party software, where a database is a part of the vendor's implementation

Configure and maintain Viewpoint and TASM

Maintain documentation store of DBA operational policies and procedures
