Chevron North America Exploration & Production Company (CNAEP) is accepting online applications for the position of Reservoir Engineer, MidContinent Business Unit, located in Houston, TX.

Overview:

Responsibilities of the Reservoir Engineer in the MidContinent Business Unit area include asset development planning, capital project design and execution, and management of existing reservoirs.

Formal mentoring and guidance of 1 to 2 less experienced engineers and/or intern employees may also be included in job responsibilities.

Chevron’s MidContinent Business Unit has a diverse portfolio of assets including non-conventional and sour gas in the Rocky Mountains, tight oil developments in the Wolfcamp and Delaware Basin, rich gas development in the Delaware Basin and East Texas/Oklahoma areas, CO2 and waterflood projects in the Permian Basin and other areas, and tight gas developments in East Texas and the Piceance basin.
Position Details: Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

* Working in integrated teams to analyze, plan and implement reservoir development projects.

* Managing existing fields through reservoir surveillance and monitoring.

* Developing short and long term integrated asset development plans.

* Providing proved reserves and resource calculations

* Cooperate with operations and production engineers, asset development teams, operators and other technical personnel to maximize economic production.

Required Qualifications:

* A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.

* Minimum of 3 years of Reservoir Engineering experience.

* Demonstrated knowledge of reservoir engineering concepts and processes; including volumetric determination; rock and fluid properties; performance monitoring/improvement; reserves estimation and asset/field development planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience preferred in one or more of the following areas:

* Waterflood and/or CO2 flooding.

* Development and management of tight oil reservoirs

* Demonstrated knowledge of reservoir engineering concepts and processes; including volumetric determination; rock and fluid properties; performance monitoring/improvement; reserves estimation and asset/field development planning.
