Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Reservoir Properties From Seismic Technical Geophysicist / Interpreter, located in Houston, Texas.

Chevron’s Energy Technology Company is seeking a strong technical geophysicist well versed in seismic interpretation, seismic amplitude analysis, AVO modeling, rock physics, and inversion.

Position Details: Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

* Integrating reservoir property predictions, seismic interpretation & other technologies into reservoir models.

* Providing project management and actively engaging with the Research and Development as well as the reservoir management communities.

Required Qualifications:

* A minimum of a Master’s Degree in an Earth Science related discipline.

* A minimum of 5 years of related industry experience.

* Strong geophysical knowledge of seismic interpretation, seismic amplitudes analysis, AVO modeling, rock physics, and property inversion required.

* Also important is ability to integrate geophysical analysis with seismic interpretation and reservoir modeling.

* High level of proficiency in workstation applications such as: Jason, Hampson Russell, and interpretation platforms like Epos or Petrel.

* Demonstrates ability to clearly convey concepts and objectives orally and in technical reports.

* Demonstrated ability to build team consensus and ability to work effectively and collaboratively in multi-discipline; multi-cultural environment.

* Demonstrated ability to utilize project management tools and processes to frame, execute, and deliver technical service projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with processing, reservoir surveillance, reserves and/or uncertainty is a plus.

* Gocad and/or RokDoc skills are a plus.
