Partner with the Wholesale Banking, Corporate Credit Products Relationship Managers to champion CIBC’s vision of being “The Leader in Client Relationships”,  and promote the growth of the franchise through good entrepreneurial strengths.  Support the vision of Global Transaction Banking, by delivering to our corporate clients, superior cash management solutions that simplify and enhance working capital management.

Primary Activities:

·        Provide direct coverage and manage a portfolio of corporate clients;

·        Develop strong relationships with clients and proactively identify cash management opportunities

·        Build presentations and proposals in response to Request for Proposals (RFP)

·        Responsible for the growth of the portfolio based on established guidelines

·        Ensure adequate profitability thresholds are met

·        Negotiate pricing agreements/contracts with clients

·        Responsible for obtaining appropriate documentation when cash management solutions are sold and implemented, as per CIBC guidelines

·        Build strong relationships with internal partners

Job Complexities:

·         Understand and stay current of changes in clients’ industries, as it relates to the treasury/cash management function;

·         Engage clients in discussions that uncover their business objectives and goals;

·         Proactively identify opportunities that allow clients to manage the cash cycle, improve internal operating efficiencies and/or respond to a changing technology;

·         Remain current in an industry characterized by rapidly changing technology, legislative and market factors

·         Structure and price cash management solutions that optimize the outcome for the client and are within the CIBC product standards, risk tolerance and procedures;


·         Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)

·         Bachelors degree. Commerce or Business Administration preferred.

·         Two (2) years experience in a relationship management and/or sales position

·         Well developed communication skills

·         Sound understanding of business and financial concepts to effectively articulate the cash management value proposition, as it relates to the impact on financial statements

·         Sound knowledge of credit and credit risk concepts to understand, articulate, and comply with bank standards as it relates to cash management products

·         Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Skills:

·         Understanding of cash management products and services

·          Masters Business Administration Degree

·         One (1) year experience in dealing with corporate clients
