Job Overview
 
As a Senior Process Consultant, you will join the Project Control Office in Technology Operations to manage medium to large scale projects working collaboratively with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical resources.  In this role, the Senior PCO Consultant is accountable for providing project management process improvement deliverables that includes: advice/consultation/analysis, coordination, development and delivery of PCO initiatives within the Project Control Office. The Project Control Office (PCO) is the focal point for Technology Operations Project Delivery Services. The PCO provides centralized governance, reporting, resource management and operational/help desk services to the project delivery teams.
 
Job Requirements
This position will require an experienced project practitioner with a broad PMO acumen that will focus on project delivery and governance improvements to continually strive to eliminate waste; improve satisfaction and increase adoption by using prescriptive change management methods to drive change across the organization.
Initiate, plan, execute, control and close improvement projects while meeting the requirements of CIBCs standards, policies and procedures.
Recognize problems quickly and be able to draw upon experience to guide solutions. Leads team approach to solving problems. Lead by example to evolve culture to better able to problem-solve, learn and continually improve.
Design and facilitate individual or group sessions that elicit contributions, stimulate focused discussions and achieve desired outcomes.
Develop and sustain strong positive and productive relationships.
 Function as an informal leader by providing guidance and advice on implementing change.
 Develop, implement, and maintain documentation related to initiative deliverables.
 Analyze opportunities for continuous improvement of service delivery.
 Analyzing client feedback to identify, recommend and implement opportunities for enhancements to PCO services.
 Diagnosing and correlating disparate information to determine the appropriate course of action for medium to highly complex situations. This requires in-depth investigation and analysis to provide a solution in most situations. However, more complex situations are escalated as appropriate.
 Conducting what-if analysis to optimize services that increase productivity and efficiency and ensuring any issues are addressed. Developing solutions or recommendations to increase effectiveness and efficiency. Making recommendations and escalate resulting issues as appropriate.
 Analyzing business problem and possible alternative solutions given the technical standards of CIBC and make recommendation to sponsor/management; analyzing possible risks and recommend mitigation approach from a number of possible choices, often creating new options with input from team members to determine the pros/cons and risks involved and make recommendation on choice and mitigations to contain risks to management.
 Ensuring projects for which they are responsible meet the requirements of CIBCs standards, policy and procedures; that all necessary risk assessments and risk assessment processes are carried out at the appropriate time.
 Continually reviewing and monitoring identified risks for program/complex project(s) to ensure mitigation plan is still most appropriate, reevaluating and adjusting as required; as change requests are defined reviewing possible impacts, as well as estimates, to determine viability of considering inclusion in program and risk of doing, communicate recommendations to senior management.
 Planning resource capacity for project work with PCO management to assure continued feasibility of their projects as planned from a resource capacity perspective; controlling and evaluating project mitigation decisions and change recommendations to meet program/project delivery with required quality; ensuring appropriate balance of project time/cost/quality to meet promised project delivery while adhering to portfolio and CIBC standards.
 Analyzing change, impact and recommends actions and /or alternatives, analyzing risks and recommends mitigation decisions.
 Managing impact of change on project/program budget.

What Were Looking For
         Must have PMP and proven experience with Project Management discipline is required (5 years)
         Knowledge of and proven experience delivering projects using Lean, Six Sigma is required (5 years); including acting as a lead for communications.
         Well developed facilitation and interactive skills sufficient to convey and interpret complex / conceptual information; developed writing skills sufficient to prepare written materials involving detailed descriptions and explanations requiring the accurate use of specialized terminology to effectively communicate information.
         Ability to produce a variety of process documents that demonstrate command of language, and clarity of thought.
         Knowledge of and proven facilitation experience (5 years).
         MS Project Professional (3 years).
