Project Description:

The Manager is eager to review/interview candidates. As this is a backfill; the end date is near, but a 12 month extension will be requested upon candidate engagement.

Assist in the development of security features supporting Telecommunication Chief Security Office, Network Based Security and Secure Email Gateway offering.

Job Description:

Candidate will be an advanced level systems administrator / engineer with a strong background in various types of UNIX with a focus on Redhat in a virtualized environment. A firm foundation in network, operations and systems security is required. The role requires working in cross functional teams on several projects at once and following projects from basic design, to implementation and lifecycle support. Network Based Security is a large, distributed and increasingly virtualized environment; the ideal candidate will have adequate previous experience to thrive inside of it. Relevant industry security certifications are a plus. Due to the nature of the projects, US citizenship and residency is required.

Requirements:

5-10 Years experience with various unix distributions including Redhat and

virtualization technologies Network management tools experience

Experience in software development

Shell scripting (bash, sh, etc.)

Perl

PHP

SQL (Postgres a plus)

Experience with SMTP and e-mail filtering platforms

Ability to work in cross-functional teams in all project phases from concept through implementation

Applicants must be US citizens based on security requirements of projects.

Excellent time management is essential.

Desired:

IP Networking skills

Experience on government projects.

Expertise in Network Security and/or working knowledge of Security Mgmt Practices

TS/SCI Security Clearance (preferred) or willingness to obtain

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Expertise in Network Security and/or working knowledge of Security Mgmt Practices

Experience in a testing or lab environment.

Relevant Industry Certifications in InfoSec (CISSP, GIAC, SANS, etc)

Candidate must be US Citizen and be willing to participate in US Government Security Clearence programs
