The purpose of this position is to perform technical engineering work in the design, development and implementation of City water / sewer / storm drainage projects, and to perform related work as required.
Qualifications
Associate's degree or vocational technical degree with emphasis in engineering technology, or a closely related field with at least four (4) years work experience in performing water flow testing, investigating water system problems and determining water quality problems.
Special Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid SC Class "D" Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record. Must have knowledge of personal computer equipment with skill in the use of Microsoft Office preferred, utilizing Outlook, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software programs as well as data entry skills. Must possess and maintain or be able to obtain a Water Distribution "B" Operator's License from the S.C. Environmental Certification Board within one (1) year from date of hire or promotion.
