The purpose of this position is to perform semi-skilled work and manual labor involved in pruning and removing trees in City rights-of-way and on other City properties, and to perform other work as required.
Qualifications
Graduation from high school, vocational school, or GED with some work experience in pruning and removing trees.
Special Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid SC Class "A" Commercial Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record. Applicants who possess and maintain a Class "D" Driver's License may be considered as a trainee. Must possess or be able to obtain a CDL permit within three (3) months from date of hire or promotion. Must possess or be able to obtain a CDL Class "A" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months from date of hire or promotion.
Special Notes
Must be available to work overtime, weekends, holidays, etc., as needed in order to accomplish assigned work.
