The Palo Alto Junior Museum Zoo is currently accepting applications for Assistant Directors and Counselors to support its Summer 2014 Science Camp program which operates from June 2nd through August 8th. Assistant Directors support summer science camps by developing curriculum and activities, facilitating activities, setting and resetting activities, supervising campers, and working with the Counselor and Director to ensure the overall safety, learning and well-being of campers. Prior experience working with children in an educational setting, preferrably in a leadership role. Strong interest in science. Must enjoy working with young children, and have a passion for learning and for science.
Successful candidates will be available the entire summer, have prior experience working with young children in an educational setting, and have an interest and educational track in education and science. Fondness for children is a must; a playful nature a plus!
Hours of work: Monday through Friday, approximately 8 4 each day.
